Institutional & Systemic Reform

There is no charge to register for this session

Members of this working group include professionals who work in various government institutions, such as the criminal justice system, prison guards and officials in the corrections system, probation and parole officers, law enforcement agents, drug court professionals, social workers, public assistance, juvenile detention facilities, halfway house staffers, and child welfare workers. Professionals specializing in alternatives to incarceration will also join this group.

This working group will discuss the role of various government institutions and systems in addressing women's involvement with drugs and conceptualize realistic ways to further integrate women and family-sensitivity into their current work and advance longer-term systemic reforms.
