Members of this group will include scientists, sociologists, scholars and other researchers with an interest in studying and documenting patterns of women's drug use, quantitative analysis of women's involvement in the criminal justice system and children and family members affected, qualitative understandings of the intersectionality of race, gender, and class in the criminal justice system's responses to drug use, racial and gender disparities in law enforcement and other related topics.

This working group will discuss current available research and conceptualize ways to address the gaps in research relating to the impact of drug policies on women and their families and to use research tools to advance reforms in current drug policies.
